Red, White and Blue-Berry Parfait
This makes an excellent breakfast or midday snack. Greek-style yogurt has 5 times the amount of protein that regular yogurt has and is higher in probiotics (immune boosting bacterial culture) than regular, American-style yogurts. The berries are super rich in antioxidants, in particular anthocyanidin (which give berries their red or blue colours), especially important in protecting the brain from free-radical damage.
Makes: 1 serving
Ingredients
- ½ cup Life Choices Cinnamon Oat Granola
- 1 cup Greek-style plain yogurt
- ½ cup blueberries
- ½ cup raspberries
Directions:
- In bowl, spoon about 3 tbsp of the granola. Layer with half each of the yogurt, blueberries and raspberries. Repeat and the layers; sprinkle with remaining granola.
