News Alert! Take a look at Life Choices Doggie Day Campaign this June

-

What are we doing and why?

Life Choices is hosting hot dog BBQ lunches with elementary school classes in the GTA. We want to get involved with the community and celebrate the end of the school year with students.

The best part:

Students will choose the charity or internal school fund to donate all the money raised!

When and where are we going?

(1)   Friday, June 3, 2011 – We are at Plum Tree Park Public School in Mississauga!

  • Grade 6 students help us host a BBQ, donating all funds to student graduation & to the improvement of schoolyard facilities.

(2)  Wednesday, June 15, 2011 – We are at Regal Road Public School in Toronto!

  • Grade 4s and 5s have decided to donate their BBQ funds to purchase new gym equipment for the school.

(3)  Thursday, June 16, 2011 – We are at St. Timothy Catholic School in North York, check out their student invite to the left!

  • Three student leadership groups: Go Local, Me to We and student council donate BBQ funds to Free the Children’s Brick by Brick Foundation – helping to build a school in a third world country from the ground up.

(4) Friday, June 17th, 2001 – We are at Bennington Heights Elementary School in mid-town Toronto. Get this: Bennington Heights is donating all the money raised to Park Lane Public School, a school for children with developmental disabilities. What a fantastic idea!

(5) Monday, June 20th, 2011 – Look for us at Forest Hill Junior Public School. This school has decided to donate money to the Make-a-Wish Foundation. We think that’s great.

DAILY UPDATES

June 21st

Check out this wonderful note we got from Regal Road Public School teacher, Mr. Leverty, who helped his school raise $736.55 for new school gym equipment:

Hi Life Choices,

We raised $736.55! Amazing. I can’t thank you enough for hosting the event and providing everything.  Life Choices Foods is truly a special company.  You hear a lot about “community outreach” by companies, but you guys are the real deal. Everybody at Regal Road was so happy with the way it turned out, and the money raised will go directly into improving the lives of our students. Thank you!

We really hope we can do this again next year.  Please!  And if we were able to sell veggie dogs, we could raise even more money!

Below is the blurb that will be going into our school newsletter. I have included your website in the blurb. If I can help out with any more publicity, please let me know. Rest assured, the Regal Road community knows about Life Choices Foods.

As soon as the purchased equipment has arrived, I will take a picture of it with the kids and email it to you.

I will stay in touch!

Regards,

Mr. Leverty
